What you Googled most in 2015

Your most Googled terms were Cilla Black, Lady Colin Campbell and the Rugby World Cup

The top-trending search terms of 2015 were revealed today by Google UK - and in the year of Charlie Hebdo, the attacks on Paris, and the Rugby World Cup, Cilla Black was the surprise peak. The death of the former Blind Date host sent the public to their search engines more than any other event of the past year. Even more striking is the second highest trending term: Lady Colin Campbell, who rose to notoriety during an ill-fated stint in the I'm a Celebrityjungle. The Rugby World Cup, another stellar display of English sporting incompetence, rounded out the top three.

The top trending male celebrity was also fourth on the overall list:former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson who was fired after assaulting a fellow employee. Husband of Khloe Kardashian Lamar Odom was second after being discovered unconscious in a Nevada brothel. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton ranked third, ahead of Charlie Sheen and Spencer Matthews respectively.

The top two female celebrities have been covered, while Adele and Caitlyn Jenner ranked for fourth and fifth for fairly obvious reasons. However third place was taken by Anne Kirkbride, formerly Deirdre Barlow on Coronation Street. The actress died of breast cancer in January.

The Paris attacks were the second highest trending news story, followed by the Grand National. Lamar Odom makes a crossover appearance in fifth place. See the full list below.
